Welcome to Halliburton Investor Relations
Alan formed Halliburton Investor Relations in 1990, believing there was a market need for an investor relations firm that would provide a level of service not commonly found in the industry. Today the firm serves numerous public companies, providing comprehensive investor relations and financial communications programs of the highest quality.
Prior to forming HIR, Alan was Vice President of Investor Relations for Texas Industries, a Fortune 500 company, and for its subsidiary, Chaparral Steel. Under his direction, TXI's IR program was restructured and institutional ownership increased by more than 300% in five years. In 1988, he served as Interim President of the Greater Dallas Chamber of Commerce, the nation's largest chamber, with 7500 members and a $12 million operating budget. Halliburton holds a bachelor's degree from Delta State University, an M.A. in International Management from The University of Texas at Dallas and an M.B.A. in Marketing, Finance and Economics from Mississippi College. He is past president of the Dallas chapter of the National Investor Relations Institute (NIRI) and is a 2005 recipient of the Distinguished Alumni Award from the University of Texas at Dallas.
Geralyn's responsibilities include corporate strategic planning, client relations, senior account management and business development for HIR. Before joining the company in 1992, Geralyn was Director of Investor Relations for Kaneb Services, Inc. (now Furmanite Corporation, NYSE: FRM), a large industrial services company with international operations, and for its subsidiary, Kaneb Pipe Line Partners. During her tenure, she initiated an aggressive investor relations program delineating Kaneb's restructuring and transition from an oilfield services company to a provider of industrial engineering services. Through this challenging but successful transition, she rebuilt the investor relations program, securing new sell-side analyst coverage and substantially improving institutional ownership while maintaining the company's strong retail base. Kaneb's stock price and market capitalization more than tripled during this time. Geralyn graduated from Southern Methodist University with a B.F.A. in Journalism. She is a member of the National Investor Relations Institute (NIRI), and currently serves as Vice President, Communications for the NIRI Dallas-Fort Worth chapter.
